This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

The adobo chicken was the best soup I’ve had. The white rice was so smooth and pair well with the soup, they were able to hold soup and still stay firm. The mango shake was the best of its kind I’ve had, however they are more expensive than necessary. The beef was ok I would recommend their chicken. The calamansi drink was so refreshing. This was my first dive into Filipino food and I am pleased!

If you’re looking for the best Filipino food in Charlotte, Manila Grill is the place to go! Our team traveled all the way from Fresno, California for the USA Taekwondo National Championship and spent almost a week in Charlotte. Like many Filipinos away from home, we were craving authentic Filipino food that reminded us of home—and Manila Grill exceeded every expectation. The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and the staff made us feel so welcome with their genuine warmth and hospitality. They were incredibly accommodating to cater our large team. What impressed us even more was that everyone loved the food—not just the Filipinos! Manila Grill has done an amazing job of staying true to Filipino flavors while adding just the right twist to make their dishes appealing to every palate. Our entire team left with happy hearts, full stomachs, and plans to come back whenever we’re in Charlotte. Thank you, Manila Grill, for giving us a taste of home during such an important week. You’ve definitely earned the title of the best Filipino restaurant in town. Highly recommended!

Food tasted authentic and so good. First time in Charlotte and everything was pretty lackluster until I found this place. Got the smoked bangus and halo halo. Solid 10/10. Also the art is so cute and the cashier was very kind despite me ordering near closing time (due to weather conditions).

Authentic Filipino food that truly feels like home. Everything was flavorful and freshly cooked, especially the crispy pata and letchon kawali. The portions were generous and definitely worth it. Ate Rose the cashier was also very nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re craving real Filipino food! 🇵🇭🍴

Overall Score: 7.1/10 Real authentic Filipino food with friendly people. Clean, fresh, and welcoming overall. Pork sticks 6.9/10 Fresh and tasty. Could’ve used a little more BBQ flavor, but still very good. Extra add-ons for sweet or spicy rice were a nice touch. Ube smoothie 7.2/10 Very good. Tasted like real ube with no fillers. Exactly how it should be.
